Celebrating 17-year-old Leukemia survivor and friend, Will Benjamin
The Whit Whit Fund began very organically. The Posillico men shaved their heads every year for St. Baldrick’s to raise money for pediatric cancer. When Whitney was diagnosed, her cousin decided to start “Team Whitney” to raise money in her honor. In ten days, we raised over $173,000! We then decided to start the “Whit Whit Fund” at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The “Whit Whit Fund” raises money to research pediatric tumor cancers. To date we have raised over $230,000 for a total of over $400,000 for pediatric cancer research!
The Whit Whit Walk began in 2013 to celebrate the life of Baby Whitney Marie Posillico. It is held at Caumsett State Park on Long Island where Whitney and her family spent a lot of their time enjoying the outdoors with friends in between her chemotherapy treatments.
The 1st Annual Whit Whit Walk was on September 14, 2013. 250 friends and family walked and donated over $40,000!
The 2nd Annual Whit Whit Walk brought in more than $50,000! More than 250 people walked and celebrated!
The 3rd Annual Whit Whit Walk took place on September 27, 2015. We celebrated Leukemia survivor, Colin Bowles with over 530 walkers! Our amazing donors helped us raise more than $82,000!
As you can see you are making a difference! Thank you!
